The Veterans Comfort Closet mission statement: The Veterans Comfort Closet is a Not For Profit focused on the basic necessities of life for a veteran a shirt on a veterans back and shoes on a soldier’s foot, placing the shoes back on a solider foot one a time. The Veterans Comfort Closet became a start up veteran’s organization in two thousand and nine, creative thought of Gina Green. Gina Green served has a DVOP, Disabled Veterans Outreached Program representative with the State of Illinois, provided assistance to the veterans population on the West Side and Humboldt Park areas of Chicago, Illinois. Outreach serves included and Homeless Veterans shelters on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, Career Fairs, Educational Fairs, V.A. hospital, Edward Hines, Hines, Illinois and the Illinois Department of Employment (IDES), Incarcerated Veterans Program.

Gina Green has also had the pleasure to service the veterans in the Greater Detroit, Michigan areas as an Office Manager (Readjustment Counseling Program Assistant) for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Vet Center, the Macomb County Center.

Naval Services, Yeoman, Duty Station Senior Enlisted Academy, First to receive classification for Yeoman permanent, E3, 1981-1983, The school was a start up organization, and first African American Female personnel assigned of six senior enlisted male members (range of rank senior to master chief) of the Naval forces, and one Male Commander. Daily duties correspondence, publication, books, printed material, classified message, every day clerical support for new school.
